Frequently Asked Questions
Hot Topics for Totally Cheesy Soap
Where is your soap made?
Handmade right here in the USA, with only quality ingredients and lots of TLC! Our soap is a cut of cheese above the rest!
How is your soap made?
Handcrafted in the United States using the traditional artisan cold-process method. This time-honored technique nourishes your skin with only natural ingredients. Your filthy paws will get the 5-start treatment as they enjoy a lavish lathering without harsh chemicals or additives And best of all - you can feel good knowing that these all-natural bars are healthier for your skin and better for the planet! High-fives!
Do you use palm oil in your soap?
That's a hard pass. Palm oil production has become a major environmental threat, destroying pristine rainforests and leading to the extinction of many species.
Is your soap "antibacterial" or "antimicrobial"?
We don't put any special anti-bacterial chemical additives in our soaps. Why? Because our all-natural soap kicks bacteria butts (just the same or even better!) without depleting your skin's natural oils or threatening delicate ecosystems, unlike those other sketchy bar soaps.
I thought you said this soap contains no chemicals. Was that a "lye"?
Sodium Hydroxide, also known as Lye, is an essential ingredient (the catalyst) in all traditional handmade, cold-processed soaps. Most importantly it gives our all-natural soap its cleaning and moisturizing properties! But we assure you there is no lye in the final product. It is alchemized and transmuted during this cold-process also known as saponification. All our soaps begin with liquid organic vegan oils like coconut, olive, and sunflower, then with lye acting as the catalyst some chemical wizardry takes place, turning these oils into a solid, with no trace of lye left behind. (No lye'ing!)
You have hilariously named scents, what do the soaps really smell like?
Like a breath of fresh air expelled through Mother Nature's snort-laughing nostrils, our soap exudes a sunny disposition coupled with a rich sense of humor.
Where can I purchase your soaps locally?
Stay tuned for a list of mom & pop brick and mortar shops!
Do you have insider information on aliens coming to eat us?
We are not at liberty to say. Nanu Nanu.
